Sony Athens - CCTV

Heston Apex Europe was given a remit to upgrade the existing access control and CCTV system to an IP based solution at Sony Pictures’ European Sites, all linked back and administered in their main office in London.  These sites were to all be upgraded to Lenel Access Control, with an integrated Sony Ipela CCTV.

One of these sites was Athens, Greece.

Our project management team ensured that whilst we had to carry out this installation during the offices being occupied, this in no way was allowed to impact Sony’s day to day running.  We completed the project with this in mind and were able to give Sony complete access to all parts of their building.

They systems installed were bespoke to Sony which included our own designed, rack mountable solution for the Lenel access control equipment.  In this ever changing world in access control, this solution allowed for the maximisation of space.   This design is able to be installed into a standard communications cabinet.  

Utilising the rack mountable solution allowed us to build most of the control equipment ready in the rack, prior to going to site.  This reduction in engineering time spent on-site, allowed us to have a quicker installation period and reduced the impact to the client.
